National Record Store Day 2012 - April 21st with They Might Be Giants!
We are thrilled to announce that the Grammy award wining band They Might Be Giants will help us celebrate Record Store Day 2012 (April 21) by performing a FREE concert followed by an in-store signing!
They Might Be Giants have been going strong for 30 years, have made 15 studio albums including the Platinum selling “Flood” and have sold over 4 million records! One of their Grammys was for “Boss of Me”, used for the theme of the TV show “Malcolm in the Middle”, and they are also very well known for their children’s music albums.
Our friends at Princeton Public Library have graciously agreed to host the concert in Hinds Plaza (65 Witherspoon St., in front of the library, two blocks from the store). The show will run from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm rain or shine. Then come on back to Prex to meet the band at an in-store signing from around 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
We are honored that the band has offered to play for us and hope you’ll “Join Us” for what promises to be an awesome time!
In addition to TMBG, Record Store Day will again feature hundreds of limited edition vinyl record releases, including collector's edition Audiophile Records from the most talented musicians of our time. If you're interested in one of the limited edition releases, we highly recommend you arrive early to maximize your chances of buying a copy.
