They Might Be Giants playing live April 21st, 2012!

You may not know this, but Record Store Day is right around the corner. And if I had to guess, if you didn't know that, you also don't know that it's a big deal. In fact, it's such a big deal that we've got giants coming to celebrate with us! They Might Be Giants, a family-friendly band with a Platinum album, 4 million records sales, and a Grammy will be performing for FREE in front of the Princeton Public Library! Then, if you're as big a fan of their work as we are, join us back at Princeton Record Exchange for an in-store signing with the legends themselves!

At this point, a very small percentage of you may be wondering, "wait, who are these guys?" I'm glad you asked - but the truth of the matter is you've probably heard them and just don't know it. Have you ever seen the intro to the hit TV show "Malcolm in the Middle"? That's them. Have you ever gotten "The Daily Show's" opening song stuck in your head? That's them. Have you ever sung "Istanbul Not Constantinople" to yourself in the shower? After seeing them, my bet's you will!

We'd like to mention a special thanks to our friends at Princeton Public Library who have graciously agreed to host the concert. For you out-of-towners, that'sHinds Plaza (65 Witherspoon St., just two blocks from the store). The performance will run from 6:00 to 6:45 pm no matter the weather. And if you'll allow me to misquote Yogi Berra, it ain't over til it's over after it's over. That's because after they finish, they'll meet-greet-and-sign autographs for fans at Princeton Record Exchange from around 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

In addition to TMBG, Record Store Day will also feature hundreds of limited edition vinyl records from the most talented musicians of our time. If you're interested in one of the limited edition releases, we highly recommend you arrive early to maximize your chances of buying a copy. Los Lonely Boys Biography

Los Lonely Boys are an American grammy winning musical group from San Angelo, Texas that plays a style of Tex-Mex rock, with elements of blues, soul, country, and Tejano. Their influences include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, and Ritchie Valens. The band consists of three brothers: Henry, Jojo, and Ringo Garza. They have followed the tradition of their father, Enrique Garza Sr., who also was in a band made up of his brothers called The Falcones, which played conjunto music in southern Texas during the 1970s and 1980s. Los Lonely Boys Bio Continued

Henry, Jojo, and Ringo sang backup for their father during his solo career, even before they were teenagers. Moving to Nashville in the 1990s, the sons emerged as a group separate from their father's career, and, after moving back to Texas, recorded their debut album in 2003 in Austin at Willie Nelson's Pedernales recording studio. The album was released by Or Music. The album was acquired by Epic Records for distribution in March 2004.
