They Might Be Giants playing live April 21st, 2012!

You may not know this, but Record Store Day is right around the corner. And if I had to guess, if you didn't know that, you also don't know that it's a big deal. In fact, it's such a big deal that we've got giants coming to celebrate with us! They Might Be Giants, a family-friendly band with a Platinum album, 4 million records sales, and a Grammy will be performing for FREE in front of the Princeton Public Library! Then, if you're as big a fan of their work as we are, join us back at Princeton Record Exchange for an in-store signing with the legends themselves!

At this point, a very small percentage of you may be wondering, "wait, who are these guys?" I'm glad you asked - but the truth of the matter is you've probably heard them and just don't know it. Have you ever seen the intro to the hit TV show "Malcolm in the Middle"? That's them. Have you ever gotten "The Daily Show's" opening song stuck in your head? That's them. Have you ever sung "Istanbul Not Constantinople" to yourself in the shower? After seeing them, my bet's you will!

We'd like to mention a special thanks to our friends at Princeton Public Library who have graciously agreed to host the concert. For you out-of-towners, that'sHinds Plaza (65 Witherspoon St., just two blocks from the store). The performance will run from 6:00 to 6:45 pm no matter the weather. And if you'll allow me to misquote Yogi Berra, it ain't over til it's over after it's over. That's because after they finish, they'll meet-greet-and-sign autographs for fans at Princeton Record Exchange from around 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

In addition to TMBG, Record Store Day will also feature hundreds of limited edition vinyl records from the most talented musicians of our time. If you're interested in one of the limited edition releases, we highly recommend you arrive early to maximize your chances of buying a copy. She Wants Revenge is an indie rock band hailing from Los Angeles, California. It is signed to Perfect Kiss, a division of Fred Durst's Geffen Records-distrubuted imprint, Flawless Records. She Wants Revenge's sound is a mixture of indie, goth, and dance. They've drawn strong comparisons to Joy Division, an important influence; but have also drawn influences from a host of other bands, significantly Depeche Mode & New Order, with some similar sounds and tones of The Sisters of Mercy. Bands like She Wants Revenge prove to the world that the next generation is ready to rock. She Wants Revenge Bio Continued

She Wants Revenge is just the latest twist in a long, varied career for Justin Warfield. Starting out as a Prince Paul-produced rapper, Warfield went on to form The Justin Warfield Supernaut, playing an LSD-fuelled take on poppy grunge. From there Warfield moved on to the UK and formed One Inch Punch with Gianni Garofalo (a member of the Supernaut). One Inch Punch's twisted take on lo-fi scuzz grunge was topped with laconic rap from Warfield. Their biggest hit was "Pretty Piece of Flesh" from the William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet movie soundtrack. Warfield and Garofalo's next move was back to LA and in a more alternative rock direction with crossover act 'Tape', whose powerful sound never made it further than a couple of EPs.
