Alan Hill is an unreconstructed Englishman living in the USA. First memory of music was his father playing Benny Goodman and Art Tatum LPs on the gramophone. Grew up in the 60’s which he actually can remember … saw The Nice at Plymouth, UK’s, Van Dike Club for three shillings and sixpence (35cents), endured “Tales from Topographic Oceans”, loved “Can’t Buy a Thrill”, ran his college’s disco, never bought “Brothers in Arms”. He is only aware of two genres of music; Music He Likes and Music He Doesn’t Like.
