Happy Holidays from Princeton Record Exchange!

by Brett in Recent Large Collections

We are very busy processing thousands of new arrivals for our busy season, but thought we’d take a minute to give a quick update today.

First of all, we hope you keep us in mind for those last minute gifts you are scrambling to find. We have a huge selection of factory-sealed new CDs, LPs, and DVDs. Among the DVDs are many DVD box sets, including many TV DVDs. We are also stocking three different models of turntables and have a wide variety of music-related accessories.

When you are finished shopping for others, don’t forget to treat yourself. We have had a good buying streak of vinyl over the last couple of months, and now have in stock a great selection of hard-to-find titles. In particular, we have bought several very nice jazz collections featuring original pressings of some of the most sought-after pieces out there. They are not all mint, some have some scratches or damaged covers (of course, priced accordingly), but it’s a pleasure to have such fine titles.

Some of the more sought out Jazz Records include: John Coltrane’s Giants Steps, Atlantic 1311 black label; Coltrane’s Blue Train, Blue Note BLP-1577; Rouse and Powell’s We Paid Our Dues, Epic BA-17018; Sonny Rollins’ Vol. 2, Blue Note BLP-1558; Sahib Shihab’s Summer Dawn, Argo LPS-742; Jackie Mclean & Co., Prestige PRLP-7087; McLean’s Swing, Swang, Swingin’, Blue Note BLP-4024; Sonny Clark’s Sonny’s Crib, Blue Note BLP-1571; Hank Mobley and his All Stars, Blue Note BLP-1544; Sonny Rollins’ Sonny Plays for Bird; and many more.

We also have a fine assortment of Beatles records in stock, with rarities including over a dozen Japanese pressings, some red vinyl, some mono, and many domestic mono’s.

We hope you get a chance to visit us soon, and we wish you and your loved ones a great holiday and a happy New Year!

The Princeton store is doing so great, it’s time to expand. How about the west coast of Florida…..Tampa Bay area? There are so many of us old folks here, we need an outlet to buy the music we love — Doo Wop.

    All the best, DiMaggio
