Princeton Record Exchange in GQ!

OK…so I’m going to take a minute for unabashed self-promotion.   GQ magazine has listed Princeton Record Exchange as one of their 20 favorite record stores.  In fact, we topped the list!  (all right, so the list wasn’t numbered, we’re still at the top, LOL).   We are also featured in their online slide show here: http://men.style.com/gq/features/landing?id=content_8277

The new March 2009 issue, has an interesting article in which they embed a reporter in a record store who works there for two weeks.  It was a lot of fun for me to see that the tone, nature of questions and comments, and types of customers seem to be similar no matter where the store is (this one is in a suburb of Chicago).

However, I am hoping that the other remaining bricks-and-mortar music stores are busier than this one appears to be.  We would be in a lot of trouble here at Prex if our store was as dead as theirs.  I’ll take a moment here to thank all our loyal customers who keep our place humming along. 

While we are not featured in the article, there is a big sidebar listing 10 of their 20 favorite records stores (the other 10 are listed online), and there we are, right on top!   I am proud of the staff here who create a climate that consistently pleases customers and keeps them coming back for more.
