Jeff,

As my wife (Susan) just mentioned, we are the ones who posted the ToddNYE videos under the YouTube channel/alias "praisetodd". We were seated to your immediate left. I planned to record the entire concert (I have the memory capacity), but my camera battery was getting low by the middle of the show. After that, I had to pick and choose carefully!

I remember observing you, as you frantically documented every moment of this special night. Tablet in your lap...flashlight in one hand...pen in the other. I am pleased that you were able to use the videos as reference for your blog. The reality is, you can't help but miss portions of the show while remaining seated and looking down, while the crowd around you may be standing and blocking your view! We certainly enjoyed the concert review. Many thanks to Doug (RungrenRadio) for send the link!

Like you, I especially enjoy how the ARENA album is focused on guitar rock. I am a certified "guitar hack", and Todd's ARENA album has inspired me to lay down a few tunes on my YouTube channel "motorpsych0". I figured out "Courage", and a few other earlier Todd "guitar" tunes. My other post is "Love in Action". We were not the ones involved in the guitar discussion, but I would have enjoyed doing that! I love trading information on Todd's (and band's) gear. I currently have a lead on a used LINE6 Flextone III XL amp just like the one Todd used on the ARENA tour.

Please contact me if you like!

Hi Jeff,

I enjoyed your review of the show! Glad you were able to use my husband's video to reference while you wrote your review. His name is Robert and if you contact me back, I'll give you his email if you want it.

You were wondering whether people get a better idea of what the concert was like through youtube videos or through a review? Well, Robert and I discussed it and we think it definitely takes both! In fact, even if you were there, there is simply too much to take in all at once, so to relive the concert properly you need to see it from a variety of sources and perspectives. Your review was a good one! Good luck in future reviews. I too, wish we could have actually talked to more folks during the whole event, but one can only do so much! Take care!

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for the review.
Some insights:
The vows were all Rundgren song lyrics (no sexual innuendos; that would be inappropriate, don't you think?).
We were married in the Quaker tradition, believe it or not. Prairie and Rachel signed our marriage license.
The groom was dressed as a tin soldier because he marched down to Todd's song "Tin Soldier".
Yes- the Arena cover was on the cape.
The wedding color palette (dress, cape, cupcake tower, decorations, etc.) matched the "Something/Anything" album cover = purple, pinks, and teal. Todd liked the cape and also suggested we go into business, selling wedding capes.
There were peacock feathers handed out too, in tribute to Todd's "peacock outfit" (see YouTube).
Prairie's Pope outfit was from the Liars tour. It was designed by Rachel Culp.
The martini glass bouquet was designed by Groupie Gear, Kasims merch girl. At the reception I threw a duplicate.
Shoot me an email if you need any info or just wanna say hi.
I think everything has been posted on YouTube and on Photobucket.com/TRPhilly.
Thank you for all your well wishes,
Joyous & Resplendent
PS- Rachel Haden has been TR's bass player the entire tour. Kasim joined later to fill Matt Bolton's spot.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This story was originally published with a reference to Rundgren meeting up with former bandmate from the Nazz, Robert "Stewkey" Antoni. This, in fact, did NOT happen and therefore a retraction was published in its place.
