We have been buying and selling Blue Note Records & more Jazz CDs and vinyl for over 20 years! Princeton Record Exchange was found in 1980 as an independent record store in historic downtown Princeton, New Jersey. We are located about one hour from New York City and Philadelphia, which makes Princeton New Jersey easily accessible by car, train and bus. See our directions page for details.

Sell your Blue Note jazz collection online or at our NJ store (including Blue Note CDs)

We pay from $1 to $4 per disc for most Modern Jazz CDs, including many of the labels listed lower on this page. We have a special interest in Blue Notes recorded prior to 1978, due to a greater demand by customers. We pay $6 or more per disc for most Mosaic CDs (which generally come in box sets). When you sell Jazz CDs to us, please note that discs, cases, liner notes, must be in excellent condition with no evidence of mildew, water damage, mold, or excessive dirt.

We are always looking for sought-after titles, and there are some rarities that we pay much more for. On the other hand, there are many LPs that we can not use at all because they are scratched, weak-sellers, or we have too many of them. We base our offer on what we expect to resell the item for and the condition it's in. LPs that are scratched, scuffed, or moldy will get only a fraction of our top prices.

Our jazz selection consists of over 15,000 titles, with new arrivals every day. Click to see samples of many labels of Jazz Records. We also have a list of musicians with Jazz CDs and other music formats. Our Jazz collection includes many Blue Note music CDs, BeBop CDs, Modern Jazz, Classic Jazz, 3rd Stream, Fusion, Free Jazz, Vocalists and Soloists to Big Band from the 1930s to the present.

Almost all of our used CDs are priced under $9, including our used Blue Note CD collection. Most used records are priced under $10, and the large majority of our used DVDs are priced under $12. Certain original 50s and 60s Jazz LPs sell for much more. We have many Jazz CDs priced under $5 each, as well as jazz records priced under $2 each.

We deal with many small independent distributors who reissue some of the most sought-after Jazz records by artists like Big John Patton, Eddie Harris, Art Ensemble of Chicago, and artists on the Actuel and Flying Dutchman labels.
