Our music CD collection includes over 60,000 New and Used CDs for sale, as well as over 60,000 vinyl records and 10,000 DVDs for sale. We feature over 20,000 CDs for sale under $5 each. Founded in 1980, Princeton Record Exchange is located in historic, downtown Princeton, New Jersey, about one hour from New York City and Philadelphia, with a selection of over 140,000 titles. We are one of the largest independent stores on the East Coast and one of the largest buyers and sellers of new and used CD collections.

We stock tens of thousands of titles including rock, jazz, punk CDs, metal, techno, alternative, oldies, blues, electronic, 60s, 70s, 80s and just about every other genre of music. We pride ourselves on our eclectic tastes-our music CD collection isn't just the stuff you find in mall stores. While we do not have our inventory online, if you would like to see sample lists of musicians that we often have in stock and are interested in buying, please see our CD list of genres/musicians/labels page.

Please note: while we often have many of these titles in stock, we do not currently handle mail orders, list our inventory, or sell online mainly because our selection changes greatly from day to day.

Our Punk Rock selection honors the History of Punk Rock, containing music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. A small sample of our Punk CD Collection includes: The Clash, Generation X, Richard Hell, Misfits, and Operation Ivy. Our new and used Punk CD Collection is priced mostly in the range of $1.99 to $16.99, and occassionally $19.99 or more for certain rarities.
