When
traveling by Train to/from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania:
Most
of our customers from Philadelphia take a SEPTA train to Trenton, transfer to a NJ Transit train to Princeton
Junction (one town over from us), and then use the shuttle
train into Princeton. The total trip, including transfers,
takes about 90 minutes. Click on the SEPTA website and find schedule from Penn Station (the main station at 30th street) or another train station.
There
are a few Amtrak trains that will take you directly to Princeton
Junction, but most will only take you as close as Trenton
and they are all much more expensive. The SEPTA trains that
go to Trenton are slower, but they are much cheaper and run
much more frequently. From the Trenton Station, transfer to
a NJ Transit train on the Northeast Corridor Line towards
New York, and get off at Princeton Junction.
Alternatively,
you make take a taxi from Trenton to Princeton Record Exchange
for about $50.
From Princeton
Junction you have a few options to get to our store.
- You may take a smaller shuttle train (called "the
dinky") to Princeton's local train station. This shuttle
train meets the incoming trains from NYC and takes about 5
minutes.
- From the local Princeton station, take a 8
minute walk (Map and step by step directions below), or a short taxi ride (for around
$8) to our store.
- Alternatively,
you may take a taxi directly from Princeton Junction (for
around $15).
Amtrak
Amtrak provides the fastest service to Princeton Junction and doesn't require transfers. But because
their trains are infrequent and significantly more expensive,
we recommend using NJ Transit, Northeast Corridor Line.
