Founded in 1980, Princeton Record Exchange
is an independent record store in historic downtown Princeton,
New Jersey, about one hour from New York City and Philadelphia. Princeton New Jersey is easily accessible by car, train and bus.
We have been buying Classical CDs, selling
Classical CDs and Classical records for over 20 years,
and Classical DVDs recently. Our classical album collection includes over
10,000 new and used Opera and Classical CDs as well as many Classical Records.

We pay up to $2 per disc for strong selling full-length CDs in excellent condition (more for certain titles in greater demand). We pay $1 to $3 per set for most major label Opera CDs. However, there are many titles that we may only offer 10 cents to 50 cents for due to oversupply, lesser demand and/or poorer condition quality. There are some titles that we cannot use at all. Prices are subject to change over time.
We are particularly interested in and pay more for certain Audiophile Labels, Japanese Imports, 20th century music as well as Chamber music.

Most of our used CDs are priced under $9 per disc, and most of our LPs are priced under $4 per disc, but exceptional original 50s and 60s Classical LPs sell for much more. We have an often appreciated extensive selection of new and used Classical CDs, including a myriad of String Music, 20th Century, Avant Garde, Romantic, Renaissance, Orchestral, Chamber Music, Vocal Recitals, Opera, Baroque Classical Albums, and much more. Please note: while we often have many of these titles in stock, we do not currently handle mail orders, list our inventory, or sell online mainly because our selection changes greatly from day to day. Cheap Records wanted by serious collectors are often found at Princeton Record Exchange. We stock hundreds of Classical Records for sale at under $5 each. Our selection changes daily because we are constantly buying and selling Classical Records. New York City Classical record collectors find a far larger selection at our indie music store than elsewhere.
Sell Classical DVDs Online or at our NJ Store
We will pay from $1 to $3 for many strong selling full-length DVDs in excellent condition, more for many box sets and some deluxe issues such as Criterion titles as well as certain Kino and Disney titles. However, there are a high percentage of titles that we may only offer 10 cents to 50 cents for; due to oversupply, lesser demand and/or poorer condition quality. There are some titles that we cannot use at all. Prices are subject to change over time. There are also many titles that we are not able to buy at all, especially those not in near mint (almost like new) condition. The discs, liner notes and cases must be in excellent condition to get full price. All DVDs must be playable in North America (region 1 or region-free, NTSC).

Sell Classical Records
We pay $1 to $10+ for many audiophile recordings and up to $4. for many 20th century classical vinyl. We pay from 25¢ to $1 per disc for
many strong-selling orchestra, instrumental and chamber
music classical record albums in near-mint condition more
for certain LP titles, especially audiophiles and certain
historical classical records and up to $10 or more for
certain rarities in great demand. You can sell classical records online of audiophile recordings to us, however most classical LPs are
worth $0.25 or less to us, and there are many artists
and titles that we cannot use, due to lack of demand or
overstock.

Princeton Festival: Featuring Live Music
One of the nation’s premier summer events celebrating the performing arts, The Princeton Festival offers a “cafeteria” of performances from June 5-27, 2010 to appeal to nearly all tastes: jazz, musical theater, opera, classical recitals, and choral music. The annual event has become a launching pad for new stars. Our store carries many classical albums of the pieces you will hear.
