We buy used records and sell used records at our record store, with over 60,000 titles from collectable vinyl records to 20,000 cheap records priced under $2. We have been working with record buyers and record sellers to be one of the largest of NJ Music Stores and NJ Record Stores since 1980.

Princeton Record Exchange is one of the largest New Jersey Record Stores, as well as regional Philadelphia record stores and New York record stores. Founded in 1980, Princeton Record Exchange buys and sells thousands of new and used records at our 4,300 square foot independent record store located in historic, downtown Princeton New Jersey, Princeton, New Jersey, about one hour from New York City and Philadelphia, easily accessible by car, train and bus.

Sell used Records Online or Visit Our Record Store

Our store buys records from private collections, estate collections, reviewer surplus, and entire store inventories—no collection is too large!

We make selling New & Used Records and CDs easy. To find out what we can pay for your Music and DVDs you may:

  1. Call us at 609-924-3472 to discuss your collection with an appraiser. Please Note: while many LPs are of great interest to us, the vast majority of those in today's market have little to no monetary value. The fastest and easiest way of determining the general value of your collection is to call us.
  2. If our LP appraiser thinks your LPs may be of interest to us, feel free to bring your Vinyl Records to our Princeton, NJ store between 10am and 5pm (11-5 Sundays), visit our custom driving directions to sell records to us and parking info.
  3. If you have already created a list or our LP appraiser thinks your LPs may be of interest to us, please describe your collection of Vinyl Records online on our Sell Used Records Online, Sell Used CDs Online, Sell DVDs Online page or email it to info@prex.com.

When you visit Princeton Record Exchange to buy used records, most are priced from $1.00 to $9.99 per disc as well as hundreds of collectible vinyl records in great demand that sell in the range of $25.00 to $100.00 dollars or more a disc.

Please note: while we often have many of these titles in stock, we do not currently handle mail orders, list our inventory, or sell online mainly because our selection changes greatly from day to day. You are welcome to fill out our sell records questionnaire or call us to discuss your collection, but please be aware that most records do not have a high enough value to make shipping worth while. It is generally best to bring them to our Princeton, NJ store, but we do recommend that you speak with one of our appraisers first, or see sell records: genres of interest to us and selling records: we have little interest in to make sure we don't waste your time.
