The Apollo Theater New York City is one of the most famous clubs for pop music in the United States, and certainly the most famous club associated almost purely with African-American performers. The theater is located at 253 W. 125th Street in Harlem in what is now one of the best-known black neighborhoods in New York City and probably the country.
